Icon3 Ford Probe Seats in Ranger

Howdy,

Came across some really good looking bucket seats for a good price. Although not Eddie Bauer Explorer leather, I think they'll be more comfy and aesthetically pleasing.

QUESTION: Can 1995 Ford Probe GT seats bolt in to a 1997 Ranger extended cab?

What may be required?

Pete

New brackets... i think they will be too bulky too, as i owned a probe, and they werent very comfy... Explorer seats would be alot better

I am going to say no way. I have a 94 MX6 and just picked up a pair of MX6 buckets for cheap that I was going to try to use. Problem is that the seat track and the hinge assembley are one piece. So unless you can make the probe seats and seat tracks work with the truck it wont work.

Thanks guys...I also heard from someone else that the floorboard configuration & drilling holes was a PITA, and that they would also sit considerably lower, limiting vision. Who wants limited vision in their ranger?

Thanks again...I'm not gonna buy the seats now.

I found out that that the Gen 2 seats (1993 - 1997) are a royal PITA to get working the way you want them to. Because you're a reg. cab, you may be sitting uncomfortably erect (straight up) in the seat without much room to recline.

I ended up not getting mine... :(
