Does anybody know where I can buy an FX4 Shifter?

Buy the Hurst. Almost the same, shorter throws and way easier to find than a true FX4 shifter. Well you could go to the dealer but you will be spending a lot.

 

I priced out the shifter at the Ford dealer......I have a hook up there. And well...it was still upwards of $350 my cost without boot and without ball. Ball itsself is priced at about $130.

 

dear god that's a lot of money for a shifter, lol.

Jeff Enterlastnamehere, I did the rubber gasket fix....and it worked. I think. lol. I drove it for 2 days w/o a inspection cover to confirm, and there wasn't any new pink. So I assume it's fixed. I'm still smelling it but I think it's residual dribbling on the 2nd to the last cat. Interiors complete now too btw. YAY!

i lucked out and got my lvl 2 shifter for $70 on ebay

howells, di you need to extend the hurst because you have a BL or doyou have to extend all hurst shifters?

 

Does anybody know what year did they start putting the chrome shifter in the Ranger?
I know not all models have it, but I might check the junkyard tomorrow and I can look in older model to see if they have one.

02 Fx4 Off Road was the first. 03+ Fx4 Level II's equipped with the manual transmissions got the shifter. 07 or 08 Ford changed the Fx4 packages..I'm unsure if the shifter continued or was canceled.
