Gauge Pod - Right Hand Drive ?

Do they make a right hand drive gauge pod for a single gauge… maybe a double ?

Did a fast search and did not find anything for a Ranger, just a Universal one.

Won’t work, the gauge is facing the wrong way.

Damn, I thought you had a RHD ranger.

Got me all excited and ****. lol

If you're handy with fiberglass and just need it to hold a tweeter it wouldnt be hard to fab up.

Sorry didn’t even think about actually having a RHD Ranger, funny.
That could get confusing quick…

Tweeters Only… wanted to keep things balanced side to side, two gauge pillar pod on the LH side and a single similar pod on the RH side.

Was thinking after you posted, maybe a paper-towel roll, shaped and glassed over.
How would you attempt a mounting lip ?

Any other suggestions ?

Thks,

I ordered the RHD Single Gauge Pod from "GlowShift Gauges”.
It is Universal but with a little heat it should conform to the Ranger RH Pillar.

I also ordered the Triple LHD Gauge Pods from them but it too is Universal, only triple I could get for a Ranger.

Now to get to the shop and clean it out.

Got it and it isn’t bad quality but two things:

1) Fitment $ucks, yes a universal pod but no material to mold, I may attempt a cut down and glass it over.

2) No extra material around the gauge opening, no way to mount the gauge.

That is what I thought but the gaps are big.

I will attempt the heat gun then cut and paste with body work.

No where was I able to locate a RHD Pillar Pod for a Ranger.

Work to do I guess…

That would be neat looking. Be careful not to get too much distance between woofer and tweeter. Mess up soundstage.

What’s the story with that; is there a measurement that is std or min/max; is it a manufacturer’s number for the distance ?

Far from it, just going along with the posting…

I help a guy out at his Gas Station 7-11AM, 5-days a week, nothing big just killing time. Get home and work on an '82 Jeep Scrambler Project, hence my handle. Working on building a 3’x5’ Welding Table, pain squaring it up. then there is the last of 10 60’ trees I have to fell, dropped 8 of them already and going for the last two or is that three soon. If the weather keep on the warm side I will have them down before spring. I need to finish the draining ditch/dry well I put in, just need a 2” overflow added. I still have all of the brush from the other trees in the yard, funny how people LOVE to take large dia wood but not the brush that goes with it. (I run a Pellet Stove so the wood is just extra stuff to get rid of). Do I need to go on… the Tractor needs the shed for its cover finished but two of the last trees need to be cut before that happens, the barn need a roof but I am not sure if I will tackle that and I will be starting the Clapboard Siding put on, maybe started late spring.
Then there iis the JY runs for Ranger parts, I haven’t done one in a while but I did have a few things for sale; getting the stuff together, FX4 Shift Boots, brand new in OEM pkg, FX4 Shift ***** a set new, Radio Bezels, Heater controls, have some silver faced stuff and the Bezel that goes around the Gauge Cluster with a silver fill, all for sale but no pics yet. Oh ya, FX4 Tow Hooks… waiting to get pics then posting.
There is also the Ranger, the list for mods on that is LONG and not a lot of time to shorten it.

Sorry for the chg of topic on the thread...

I work with a Yard in NH, Ken Auto Salvage, Kingston NH.
they HAD a lot of the CFCs but they have worked through them so what is coming I do not know for sure.
Ken said there are more CFCs out there he will be picking up he was just waiting to get some space… I have my eyes open for FX4 stuff and Ex Sport stuff but it is all up in the air pending what is coming down the chute.

MA JYs $uck, top prices and TAXES… Ken and I split the price so I can get some good deals for the site SOMETIMES.

Do you work in Beverly ?
I used to work out of Salem, MA, Congress St, been out of full time work for over three years now, just retired so I wouldn’t lose my money to the O’Bama Plan.

Yea the rule is no more than 8inches. i don't know if its different for different manufacturers. I think you can fix it if you have some really good sound processors with sound delay or time corrections built in, which is why car manufacturers are able to do it with there premium stereos.

That changes things… i will first have to look at the install instructions and then I guess think about NOT using the Pods for the Tweeters. Maybe I need to raise the 6.5" mids up some then the top of the dash will work out, I need to cut for the 6.5s anyway.

My Tweeters come with small enclosures that could mount anywhere, I guess I will need to re-look at the whole idea.

thks for the info/thought...

They were except I was going to pull them away from the door some, make a spacer and try some of the fiberglass thing, like I have seen on this site. Looks more time consuming than hard to do.
