Gauge Pod and Window Defroster

I was thinking about installing a single A-pillar pod because I always use the grab handle but I was looking at some pictures and it looks to me like the driver side window defroster is blocked by the pod, is this correct? Because here in Winnipeg it gets VERY cold in the winter, so cold that sometimes if I forget to plug it in I turn the key and the starter gets the truck going and I have no power and it dies but thats away from the question. Can a single A-pillar pod by used and will the defroster still defrost the driver side window a bit?

Your running an '05... Im pretty sure you will be safe with the gauge pod - ALL the ones I have seen put it right in the middle probably 8-10 inches up the A-Pillar, and that shouldn't cause any interference with your defrost in the least... Perhaps someone with a single pod will be able to chime in - most people either dont run them, or get a three pod. Not many with just a single :-)

Somebody on here put a single pod right behind their steering wheel.

i have my dual set low on my truck but i dont have the handle so i am assuming mine is where yours most likely will be since you are wanting to keep the handle and it does block the vent but it still flows enough with the truck on defrost and hi that it defrosts it if need be. i just turn the drivers vent towards the window

What do you want the gauge to display? Maybe its something a scangauge could do. Or if you really want a gauge then grab a F150 pod that goes on top of the steering column. You have to mod it but I'm not sure exactly what you have to do to use it.

Well I'd rather not buy a Scan Gauge because I like the look of the single gauge pod but it would be for an air-fuel gauge or boost gauge since I want to SC my little 3.0.
