I just had this conversation w/ a buddy the other day.. I use those green pine tree shaped freshners.. But what I'd like to see on the market is food smelling freshners. The other day the two of us went out to lunch at the pizza joint. We got calzones and couldn't finish them. It was pretty damned cold that day, so we just tossed the leftovers in the truck for the rest of the day. At the end of the day we both had pizza smelling trucks. Not half bad! That got us started on other ideas.. so far our best idea by far is BBQ! Mmmm.. BBQ!

right now mine smells like a mix of PB Blaster and Ozium new car scent. I was messing with the window stuff inside my door & sprayed some blaster in it. After sitting with the windows open for 2 days & still smelling like it I decided to empty a can of Ozium in it. Now it just smells like both. I guess it's better than than that antifreeze smell it had when my heater core went out.

Whatever you do: Avoid it! If you need gas, just gas up and keep going to the next stop. Making two stops is worth not eating that cardboard! My father and I made the mistake once my freshman year when he came out to collect me for xmas break. Avoid at all costs!
Yes, they definitely have a captive audiance. Although I never noticed much of a problem. The prices, even on gas at those thruway stops is actually pretty reasonable. At least at the ones in Eastern NY, where I always seemed to end up needing fuel.
I used to move like a NASCAR pit attendant at those stops when going back and forth on breaks. In the winter I would even leave the coat in the truck just to get myself to move a little faster! Anything to make the trip in a few less minutes..
