hey guys got a 1998 ranger xtend cab shortbed splash lol....... ive bought 4 damn seats from junkyards all the cushions/springs wore out, on the drivers side edge where u get in and out (u kno what i mean) my question is r there any seats from a specific car and year i can buy and if so which?
imean i kno some mustangs might fit? but it just seems like all the ranger seats are wore out and to avoid that which car seats if any will bolt right in WITHOUT having to change tracks havent had no luck with them ethier,so
any and all ideas are appreciated thx bb

 

In my 1995 Ranger, I used seats from a Fox Mustang, and just bolted my current bottom tracks on to the seat.

I'm running seats from an 01 Explorer Sport, just like what's shown below. Only modifications I had to make were to :

• Enlarge the holes for the mounting bolts since Rangers use a much larger bolt than some Explorers
• Mount my seat belt pretensioners from the Ranger by drilling new holes for the bolts and using a nut for the opposite side since Explorer seat belts are very different.

 

ok what year is ur ranger? and were those explorer seats a direct bolt on, or did u have to switch hardware? and was that interchangeable? thnx bb

 

2003 Supercab. Direct bolt-in, with exception to the seat belts and having to enlarge the holes on the feet of the seat.
