I was trying to take my pillars off earlier to get them ready to be tweeded. There are like 4 normal phillip screws going up then at the end is a big cap, which i thought was just a cover to hide a screw. But i think it is a screw itself i tried to pry it off it just bends around wont come out. please help.

Just pull, and it will pop out, .

 

You can get a dedicated "upholstery plug puller" (got mine at autozone), but those plugs pretty much self destruct any time you pull them out. You can maybe reuse them once or twice, but they get messed up pretty quick.

 

They're cheap to buy at autozone though.
