Interesting FACT

I was reading through the owners manual of my 2002 ranger and notice that a map light was available from the factory! does this mean that all these swaps for mustang and explorer map lights could've been solved to begin with? maybe I was seeing things and this has been discussed before but wow I was amazed.

2002 XLT's came with the map lights. My 02 Edge had that stock light and I put in a light with map lights from a Windstar(same as mustang and f150) and it worked just fine.

On my 2004 FX4, I have the XLT light with the map lights as well.

the advantage to a dome light from another ford over the xlt one is the ability to have more than one map light on at a time... i know thats why i have one from a taurus instead of the stock ranger xlt one or the crappy edge one

i was trying to figure out what yall were complaining about. and then went and confused me thinking there was a better light. oh well, guess i shoulda paid more attention while in the truck.
