Interior Color Change

I got started on a little project a couple weeks ago. huge thanks to barrman!

I plan to just about finish it off this weekend. Hopefully.

I am color dying all the factory gray plastic black. I have already swapped to black carpet, and i plan to swap to black/blue level 2 seats.

I am using SEM Landau Black Interior Paint, so far I have ordered 9 cans of this stuff. I hope it is enough.

Before I painted the plastic pieces I washed them with Dish Soap and let them dry. After they were dry I put several light coats of Duplicolor Adhesion Promotoer on them and that seems to allow the SEM to stick very well!

So far I'm really liking the change. What I don't like is my interior all torn apart

anyway here is a picture of the some of the progress. more pics to follow this weekend.

where'd you get the blue/black seats? I'm really not a fan of red and it's the only option, other than leather, for the oxford LevelIIs. At least only option for me since I didn't get to custom order the truck.

edit: i can't type today. I forfeit for 24 hours.

just to add because I forgot to...

minus the removing the OEM paint off the radio bezel, I had a BLAST prepping up and painting it and the OHC. I can see where it's a PITA though. While I was wiring the OHC I figured I'd try to get at my gauges as it's rather dirty behind the plexiglass. I gave up because I felt like I was going to wind up tearing the entire dash area out just to clean a roughly 18 inch X 3-4inch area.

I wish I could :)

I have no time

I need at least 3 days to do it...1 to prep, 1 to paint, 1 to put it back together....

I get 1 day off a week, and actually, I get 0 now, b/c when I don't work, I go to school...it sucks
