I thought I would begin to give my interior some color. This is my first attempt at painting plastic. I think it turned out pretty good.

Looks awesome, color is something different.

Not a huge fan of the color but it looks like it was done right. Nice work!

bugz1racing 05-27-2008 06:42 PM

The color was supposed to be a dark maroon. I used a light primer.

I don't like paint on the interior either, but it does actually look pretty good.

bugz1racing 05-27-2008 06:51 PM

What color would you recomend? I am up for anything.

Have you guys had the paint on for a LONG time ?? Does it hold up ??

barrman 05-28-2008 04:31 PM

finish looks nice, but i'm definitely not a fan of the color.

your truck is black? what color are your seat inserts? gray/silver?

you could go with black (i used house of kolors kandy black pearl on my interior pieces... HOT) or silver? anything that can somehow tie into your truck would be better.

Lots of coats of glossy clear coat.

badluck13 05-29-2008 06:43 AM

........Looks great, awsome shine, and I for one dig the color!!!.....

MOTOunplugged 05-29-2008 07:31 PM

which paint/clear coat did you use?? mine turned out dull compared to that..

bugz1racing 06-02-2008 05:02 PM

Sorry for not replying sooner. I have been in Atlanta on vacation. Anyway, 3 coats of a a special blend of clear coat one of my buddies makes is the reason for the shine. When you put a coat of clear on it actually is almost white and as it dries for about 10 minutes you can see the paint again.

MOTOunplugged 06-05-2008 10:31 AM

man you shoulda brought some of that paint to atlanta with you! haha, i'm constantly in atlanta for something. do you know if he would sell me any?
