i have a 98 extended cab, what are my options for new seats?
if i cant find expo seats what else will work
and also are the seats that will work year specific?
or will any expo seat be a direct bolt in?

what's wrong with the ones you have? just looking for a freshen up?

I've seen a few threads about '04 Cavalier seats being a pretty close straight bolt in to the seat tracks. Our seats bolt to our seat tracks, no need to grind.

Any ranger our year on up that is super cab will be a direct bolt for seats & tracks. If I remember right, up to 01 Explorer/Mountaineer seats bolt right in.

I broke the passengers handle that folds the seat and also let's it recline the other day trying to get somthing off my roof rack, and Ford wants $200 for the part to fix it so I was thinking maybe some leather expo power seats would be nice or somthing similar

hehe, my passenger seat had the handle broken off as well! I temp fixed it with a cheap-o bargain bin small vice grip.

here is the handle for 40 bucks:

If I remember right, there was only a little clip that held it on.

Expo seats need to modded to work, the seat belt is on a sliding bracket. Needs to modded to the non moving ranger style.

Almost any seat will work in your truck if you pull your tracks off the ranger seats and fab them to the new seats. This is not an easy task, they are riveted to each other. It can be done with time and a drill.
