Well, picked these up on Saturday. I drove around with them some more and I love em!

LMK what ya think.
They are APC Gen II seats...Now I just need to fab a bar in the back to properly mount the harnesses.

They look nice, but I'd castrate myself climbing over that bolster.

Trevelyn1015 11-14-2004 04:18 PM

they look cool... never seen any like that in a ranger...

DjayeNos has those in his truck ;)

Strider0O0 11-14-2004 05:41 PM

looks good man!! are you gonna add some sort of center console between them now thats theres nothing there?

SONICEDGE03 11-14-2004 05:56 PM

Yep Custom console is up on the list now that I don't have an armrest anymore lol And there is a bracket that has been removed that lets the bolster flex so you don't crush the jewels getting in and out. It has taken a lil practice learning how to get in and out but I have got it down now.

getting a different car

those look realy cool, are they racing seats are just supposed to look like them?

jtslmn720 11-14-2004 06:03 PM

double post

SONICEDGE03 11-14-2004 06:19 PM

yes it is a good thing
yes it is a good thing

I don't think that they would pass inspection if you really wanted to go racing though.

I figured that I would answer both of your posts.

I was gonna say, because djayenos has similar seats, and I nailed myself in the package getting out of his truck.

n3elz 11-15-2004 07:50 AM

Agreed! It takes some practice to get in and out of those without smashing "the boys".... ;)

I got goosed in Djaye's truck getting out as well when I sat in it in Centralia.

On the other hand, those seats are suprisingly comfortable and nice.

I am getting Djaye's old seats from him which are two-tone black and gray to "upgrade" my gray-only seats in my truck.

Yeah, I liked the black/grey seats in my 03 alot better than the all-grey seats in my 02. Def. a good upgrade! :)

Dont forget that harnesess can be extreamly dangerous in a non-caged truck. If you should happen to roll the harness will hold you straight up and there by crushing you... hate to be blunt about it,but its the truth. Just something to think about....

FoMoCoFiddy 11-18-2004 03:28 PM

Never thought about that, dont those seats release fairly quickly?

Like a go-kart belt, pull and its off?

SONICEDGE03 11-19-2004 08:09 AM

I know the do's and don'ts about mounting harnesses. I want to smack people that mount them to the floor. Harnesses and a support bar are already in the making to mount the harnesses to. I am also going to have to take my box out and modify it for the harnesses. I am also purchasing an explorer center console.

sounds like you need to wear whitie-tighties instead of boxers. i don't want to consider the third option. lol

those seats look awesome by the way!!

SONICEDGE03 11-20-2004 01:18 AM

LMAO!!!

04rangerballin 02-07-2005 10:11 AM

tight

Your seats are TIGHT! I got an 04 Ranger edge and I am currently looking for new seats. Its got the stock 60/40 seats and I can't stand them. Were your seats easy to install? Any mods to the original bracket or did the universal slider fit?
Holla Back

SONICEDGE03 02-12-2005 09:52 AM

I had to make custom brackets to mount the seats. If FTW would ever come back online then you could see the brackets. How much do you want for your stock seats with the brackets and seatbelt buckles? I know someone that is looking for some stockers to do a project on.

solodos 02-13-2005 03:33 PM

is it just me or is there not a picture?

aftermarket 02-13-2005 05:27 PM

My last visit here had red, x's, but now it works to view it.

Hey when you get that link for the FTW article you had for the seats, post it up, I'm sure others will read it to get some ideas for their own seats.

SONICEDGE03 02-13-2005 06:29 PM

here ya go!

When the weather warms up I will be pulling the seats out and can get measurments of the brackets and whatnot. It is just too cold to put neons in lol

EdgeRat33 02-14-2005 12:35 AM

those are some sick lookin brackets...looks like I'm gonna have to post up the pics I have of my Bride Brix Racing seats....installed 3 weeks ago, LOL

aftermarket 02-14-2005 07:34 AM

And got to paint those brackets black or something dark to match the interior.

SONICEDGE03 02-14-2005 09:22 AM

Shhhh...something special planned for those :)
