leak on drivers side. floor gets wet

so, i have a leak somewhere on drivers side. my floor gets wet. i ran a hose all over truck to try and see leak, but no luck. seems like its coming from up and to the left (behind parking brake maybe?) im at a loss. kinda sucks having the floor of my truck wet all the time... its an 01 xlt 3.0 extended cab.

sounds like it could be coming from the cowl area...or it could be a leaking heater core...did you use your heater recently?

heater core would be wet on the passenger side, so i think that can be ruled out. I would check where the ebrake cable comes through the firewall. tires could be kicking up water into the door seal as well.

Check the most frequent leaky place . The third brake light.

hmmm. i do have leakage on pass side rear cab on the roof. think its the 3rd brake light? or was that a joke?

definately not a heater core. its 100% water. and i just did a heater core on my mustang. when the cores blow, they leak on pass side.

ill look around the ebrake cable. im not sure how long its been even happening tbh. ive been driving my mustang most of the time, and my ranger has been sitting. ive got rubber floormats too so i didnt really notice till i looked down.

the 3rd brake light is a definite place to look...after a while the seal will detoriate and cause a water leak

Mine was leaking due to the lower corner of the windsheld not being sealed good on the drivers side you can lift up the gasket and see it you don't see glue that might be your leak

I had a similar mysterious leak and found that the rubber sealant (body seam?) under the carpet that runs in the corner (area under the parking brake pedal) had a hole/gap in it and the water was passing there. I too thought it was the windshield corner, but luckily it got "rocked" while my son was driving it this summer. New windshield and gasket, thought leak would be gone, now ready to replace carpet....and it was wet again. Tracked it down to a gap in the sealant. Re-sealed both sides ....no more water. It was driving me nuts!
