What the best way to bolt down a center console?

I meant what is the best way to bolt it to the floor, getting around the trans tunnel with the bolts, and the best way for going through the floor.

 

drill a hole, run bolt through. i used a screw.

I'm just being a dick at 2 am. As the guy before said. Or use self-tapping screws.

 

I had a friend weld some bolts to the floor which I used for mounting studs. I am worried about rusting and did not want any extra holes in the floor. Worked well for me, but there is extra work removing the carpet to access the metal floor.
