lil vent on the passenger side of bezel - its purpose?

lil vent on the passenger side of bezel - its purpose?



see the vent to the right of the bezel with the wire sticking out of it, whats this vent for? i have never felt any air coming out of it so what gives?

i think i read somewhere on here that it has no purpose for the Ranger...only the explorer

but of course i could be complete wrong...

um..crap i knew this..hes right somethin on explorers a vent for some motor or somethin in that subject

Its for the interior temperature sensor of the EATC.

hrm, i thought it was a vent for the airbag when it deploys, guess i was wrong!

i wonder if its the exact same to install that in a sport trac


ive only had the unit sitting in my basement for 1.5+ years now

My guess is that it would be just as "easy" in a 2001~03 Sport Trac as it is in a Ranger.

2004~2005 have some electrical differences but it should probably be adaptable to those as well. You might have to make some adjustments to the instructions here or there.

i was just curious as to its purpose is all im not gonna do that eatc mod... WAY to involved for me... hell, im happy with my ac mod! heh.. what can i say, im easily amused and easy to please.
