Loose column shifter, orange rubber

My 07 B2300 column shifter was wiggly so I popped the cover off and saw where the lever goes into the socket, is a loose orange rubber gasket thing. Anytime it shifts, the rubber pops back out and I have glued it back in but I don't think this will last forever. Has anyone encountered this before or where to even find a replacement for it?

Google "ford ranger column shifter fix". You'll find a ton of simple how-to videos. Its a very common problem.

I have, its pretty well all the same one. The one to tighten the Torx screws, not the rubber bushing.

I had the same problem.

There's a guy on YouTube named "ChrisFix" and he has a Mazda B3000/Ford Ranger 3.0, and he performed the fix, and it worked for me, too.

The repair is on a Windstar, but it's near identical in the process.

That works if it's the Torx screws but I had no issue with them. I had an issue with my bushing being broken so my shifter flopped around in it's socket without it.

Just in case anyone finds this later, here's the separate discussion of the bushing Funkadelicfred is referring to:
