And these are good mounts !
They mount the MagLite out of the way and easy to get the light in and out.

Alon made a special mount for my larger OD case MagLite, my light has a larger outside diameter body than the newer versions and the new mount fit perfectly.

I do not know how I got along without it.

Great Product !

Hey Alon, you have one for the Super Duty listed on your site, do you have a pic of it or does it look the same? Nowadays I would probably get way more use out of one of those than one for the Ranger.

It looks very similar to the ranger one, just a longer and larger tab.

You can’t see the welds once the mount is installed, so good or bad it doesn’t matter.

The main thing is it is a good mount, holds the light solid and other than the sponge strips, it will never wear out !

We have been playing with some different types of foam, not sure what you have in there now. If you pm me an address I'll mail you some replacements.

Thanks, do not need replacements yet but thinking in the future.

Was thinking thin rubber strips, something soft enough to compress a little but not foam.

i use the same clips that people use to mount shovels on garage walls. 1 they are springy so they dont wear out. 2. they are coated in rubber so they dont wear on your maglight. and 3. they are very low profile. granted this isn't very low profile where i put it... but if you mount it anywhere else it's not too bad. and i've been all over rough terrain and bumps, never lost it.

and 4 you have a projectile going right into your face when you get in an accident. I know it seems like a great idea up there but man that would suck to get hit in the face with it.

Agreed. It holds great. But it would make for one mean projectile. But I guess the 4 foot rescue bar on the back of the cab would too.

The best part of the “Alon Mount” is that the light is out of the way in a place that isn’t used for much of anything.

Mounting on the A-Pillar, to me, would be in the way getting in and out, not to say it is in your way or that is looks bad sitting there because it doesn’t but just my thought.

The “Alon Mount” will not wear out, is mounted out of the way, holds the light tight but not too tight as to interfere with removal or insertion, and it is at the right price… !

Sorry about carrying on but it is one of the things in the truck that I know will be there tomorrow and work as it did the first day I put it in.

And to clarify, the foam strips that keep the light tight and in place work just find, I have had mine for a couple of years now (special ordered unit) and it is still working as it did the first day and I use the light a lot.

OK, I will stop trying to sell the mount for Alon… ltr

I just have a mini mag in my truck but I put the mounts right beside of my shifter (5spd) works pretty good just need to buy longer screws than the ones provided to get through the padding on the floor and get some good bite.

Alon,

Do you have a mini mag mount for under the seat.
Flashlights are getting smaller and I for one like the under seat mount but thinking a smaller light, stream light or even this new Energizer LED.

I know you did a custom mount for me because I had an older Maglite but are you doing any custom work for AA mounting in the same location ?

Ltr

Just click on the link in Alon's post about 3/4 up this page and it will take you to his website, and it has a pic of it mounted to the seat bolt, that bolts the seat track to the floor.
