They mount the MagLite out of the way and easy to get the light in and out.
Alon made a special mount for my larger OD case MagLite, my light has a larger outside diameter body than the newer versions and the new mount fit perfectly.
I do not know how I got along without it.
Great Product !

i use the same clips that people use to mount shovels on garage walls. 1 they are springy so they dont wear out. 2. they are coated in rubber so they dont wear on your maglight. and 3. they are very low profile. granted this isn't very low profile where i put it... but if you mount it anywhere else it's not too bad. and i've been all over rough terrain and bumps, never lost it.

The best part of the “Alon Mount” is that the light is out of the way in a place that isn’t used for much of anything.
Mounting on the A-Pillar, to me, would be in the way getting in and out, not to say it is in your way or that is looks bad sitting there because it doesn’t but just my thought.
The “Alon Mount” will not wear out, is mounted out of the way, holds the light tight but not too tight as to interfere with removal or insertion, and it is at the right price… !
Sorry about carrying on but it is one of the things in the truck that I know will be there tomorrow and work as it did the first day I put it in.
And to clarify, the foam strips that keep the light tight and in place work just find, I have had mine for a couple of years now (special ordered unit) and it is still working as it did the first day and I use the light a lot.
OK, I will stop trying to sell the mount for Alon… ltr

Alon,
Do you have a mini mag mount for under the seat.
Flashlights are getting smaller and I for one like the under seat mount but thinking a smaller light, stream light or even this new Energizer LED.
I know you did a custom mount for me because I had an older Maglite but are you doing any custom work for AA mounting in the same location ?
