Got some 05 seats for my 99...
Less of a question, and more of a "just sayin... i did this." for those curious about seat swaps.
I've got a 99 ext.cab, the drivers seat was very broken down and i could feel the bar in my back, so i went on a hunt for some newer seats to put in.
Originally found some 02's... these weren't any better than mine.
Then I found a pair of 05's, they were a bit dirty, but the foam+fabric was decent, and the price was right, so i brought em home.
Installation was cake... just unbolt the 4 floor bolts, swap the female end of the seat belts while the seats are out, then bolt the new ones down and plug in the seat belt lead.
I think they are definitely an improvement... not a ton cleaner than my old ones, but they look a lot better, and are much more comfortable.
I've heard some people saying the 04+ seats sit up too high and create a blind spot. I'm not having too much problem with it. I guess they sit a little higher, but my the old seats were worn out.
Picture: It makes my interior feel much newer!

they all have j-strips that hold the outside edges on. 98-03 use velcro and maybe a couple hog rings, 04+ use just hog rings. there are plastic clips that are used to hold the pulls in the middle of the seats down, but not in rangers. that's more of a Chrysler and GM thing.
