Putting in a jump seat

I would like to put a jump seat in the back of my cab. I only want one and I dont need a seatbelt for it. I have the 2 door super cab. How hard would it be to do this? Are the bolt holes already there or would it be more trouble then its worth?

Because I just need it to haul people around in town. If I were to get into an accedent im not too afraid of injury. And the state of minnesota doesnt require it.

Does that have something to do with the fact your sitting in the drivers seat with a belt and its not you in the seat with no belt?

no it has to do with the fact that theres about 12" of space and the person sitting back there would be about 14" wide so i figure theyll be wedged in there good enough.

And the fact the I dont want to have to rip into the side to put in the buckle.

Oh I found my answer on my own,

Yes I can put one back there. Just pull up the flooring and all the holes are there.

You don't have a choice, the seat belt is built into the frame of the seat.

The belt section is BOLTED to the frame of the seat. The buckle is bolted to the side of the cab.

Yep, you're right, the belt section is bolted. I just looked at the pics I had taken a while back when I removed them to install sound deadening material.

I knew the buckle was bolted in but mine's bolted to the floor not the side of the cab.

The holes are there for the 4 door seats but you may not have the "weld nuts" under the floor so the bolt has something to hold onto. I looked into this but my truck did not have the nuts so I would have to use my own but there isn't much space to get in there. I think the only way to add a seat to a supercab 2 door is to use a 2 door seat that replaces the storage bin.

^^^Thats what I figured. Probably need the whole panel back there too huh? Or can you just get the seat and it will fit right in storage space?

I'm sure it will bolt into there with the stock panel. There are not weld nuts for the 2 door seats either but you can access the holes from under the truck. The 4 door seat holes have a small triangular access hole but I don't think you can get to them from the under the truck. I only pulled up the carpet once to have a look but I gave up after I heard it may not be possible.

I thought you were talking about the ones that bolt to the back wall of the cab like on 4 doors.

To do it like your wanting you will have to get new panels. Here is what the 2 door jump seat panels look like.

Looks like you might be able to get away buy trimming the panel. Or just buy the corner panel.
