My new color dash.

This is my new blue and red dash. I used the mod from John Griggs here is the link to his page. JG Cardomain

Here is my dash. Notice I am driving. I am not the brightest I was on the end of my hour long drive home and was bored so I took out my phone and took a couple pics.

sweet man, looks like a lot of people are doing that recently

I still wanna know if it workes on a 05 edge or not.

bryanjints 03-01-2006 08:26 PM

thanks for the replies

I would think it works on and 05. The worst you could do is take it apart look at and assess whether or not the green can be scratched off.

is it just how the picture looks, or is it dimmer in some areas?

n3elz 03-01-2006 08:43 PM

It is dimmer. You have to layer the paint in the bright areas and/or do some selective white painting on the clear light distributor behind the overlays. Mine is uneven also, though not as bad as it was when I first did it. I need the red for my night vision so the slight uneveness doesn't bother me as long as I get the color.

The original overlays have "gray" coatings silkscreenen on to dim the light in the "hot spots" -- you can achieve the same effect but it takes some time and patience -- which I apparently don't have, lol.
