My new color dash.
This is my new blue and red dash. I used the mod from John Griggs here is the link to his page. JG Cardomain
Here is my dash. Notice I am driving. I am not the brightest I was on the end of my hour long drive home and was bored so I took out my phone and took a couple pics. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e5...nts/gauges.jpg |

sweet man, looks like a lot of people are doing that recently
|
I still wanna know if it workes on a 05 edge or not.
|
thanks for the replies
I would think it works on and 05. The worst you could do is take it apart look at and assess whether or not the green can be scratched off. |
is it just how the picture looks, or is it dimmer in some areas?
|
It is dimmer. You have to layer the paint in the bright areas and/or do some selective white painting on the clear light distributor behind the overlays. Mine is uneven also, though not as bad as it was when I first did it. I need the red for my night vision so the slight uneveness doesn't bother me as long as I get the color.
The original overlays have "gray" coatings silkscreenen on to dim the light in the "hot spots" -- you can achieve the same effect but it takes some time and patience -- which I apparently don't have, lol. |
