Drafty interior in 02 ranger

Im getting this breeze in my cab every time i drive it at my feet on the drivers side. Checked it out and the hole in the cab made for the steering to come through is not air tight. Anybody know about this?

My 02 is the exact same way. There's always a draft on my feet, and it comes from that spot.

Do you ever have a problem with mice getting in the cab because of it? Geez its so damn ridiculous to buy a new truck and have that problem. Its driving me crazy.

Thanks i will check that out. There is also an opening to the cab through the gear shift. The boot only covers it, so i was wondering if there was something underneath the cab that maybe that i am missing or what.
