Question for the overhead console guru's
Here is my question, which is better? I have two displays for the first one it is all black and has a rubber or neoprene cover that goes over the switches part number F67F-19A548-1.
Second has a white back switches are molded in it's part number is YL2F19A548-AA. Is there a difference
What to get this together and would like to use the best parts possible so i don't have to mess with it later.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Here is a picture of what I got today for $17.00

No, the console was out of a explorer that had the front crushed pretty good so couldn,t get to it. Look for another vehicle but either someone already got it or didn't have one.
I'll wire it up tomorrow and leave the temp wires were I can get to them and hook one up when the opportunity arises.
Anyone want to trade a display unit for a sensor?

Thanks I did that yesterday, both are a blue color. The only difference I can see in the display is the all black case with the neoprene buttons cover seems to respond to direction change a whole lot quicker.

Was back out at the "used auto parts yard" found the sensor already got the console in now to finish wiring it up and install the mirror and wiring,
What is the best place to install the sensor without having to run wires all the way up to the front of the cab.
Any serviceable issues running it outside the frame rail below the cab?

Finally got everything in and it is working great went out and drove in circles to calibrate the compass so it is all dialed in. Temperature is spot on drove past 2 outdoor thermostats and all reading the same temp., mounted the sensor under the core support.
Was behind the stereo so I hooked up my ipod connection picture of head unit.
