Stock 60/40 bench seat swappage to bucket

Does anyone know if a late year Ranger (1993) bench seat bracket mounts (bolts) line up with newer Ranger bucket seat mounts? I have a 93 ex-cab Ranger and I HATE the 60/40 bench seat and am looking to upgrade to a bucket seat from a newer ranger with a stand-alone center console...

With addition to that, has anyone ever tried to install an overhead console? Would appreciate some pictures and detailed plans on how to do this...

think thats a no-go

i want to say 98 and up are compatible-someone should be able to double verify that for me haha

that being said however with some modifying you can always make something work. my buddy put my old 60/40 out of my 03 into his 96. just had to use his old tracks and drill some holes and bend a few things here and there

I’ve posted this in a number of threads but take one of your Seat out.
Turn it over and see how the Slider/Tracks are attached to the seat pan.
If it has four screw holding the Track on then there is a good chance the newer seats will attach to your tracks.
Take out the other seat and compare. Some use rivets but if the spacing is the same then the tracks can swap out.
In my ’03 std cab, the tracks from my 60/40 Seats bolted to a set of Bucket seats out of a 99 Ext Cab ( I think the seat came ou tof an EXT Cab 02 or 03 before the 99 got them ). They were the same seats as if I got buckets.

Now here is another thing, in my year range and I have to believe most rangers w/ the 60/40 seats… the passenger side is a std bucket seat and if the seat bolt to the tracks you can add another passenger seat to the driver’s side track. No the seat back adjuster handle is not going to get in the way because you will be using the Driver;s Side Track bolted to the Passenger’s Side Seat.

It works, quick bucket seats for the price of a JY Passenger Seat.

First check out the attaching point for the Track/Slider to the Seat Pan, measure them up and compare the P side to the D side and see what you get. If the measurements are the same go shopping in the JY for a 60/40 Passenger Seat, pull it and start measuring them, you should get lucky.

Qualifier: This works on the 98 thru 03 Ranger Std vs Ext Cabs and vice-versa, take some time check it out and you can get a set of bucket seat out of the deal for short cash.

Too long, sorry working on my wordiness !

Hows about you make your own bucket seat??
It ain't that hard.
you take your seats out, cut open the part you want to take off, take the foam out, cut away the metal and so back together.
I did this and built a console for my 88.
