Icon5 New CB Radio

Hey i pulled my old cb radio out of my old truck and was wondering where to put it in ithe ranger anyone got pic of where they put theirs. I ()just dont want it to be in the way of things.................

Also if you have the PA hook up where did you mount the speaker ?????

Here's mine:



and I just put the PA speaker behind the grille, theres holes in the header panel you can ziptie the speaker too.

Peaked and Tuned......Cobra 29LTD BC(black chrome). Blue LEDs too..matches the rest of my interior...

umm...... since were on the subject, which matters more, the antenna or the radio, as far as communication goes?

antenna..... not even a peaked n tuned 300 dollar radio can hear much with a crap antenna.

i have both CB and Amateur radio in my truck and its all antenna as far as ive been told and from my own tests.

Yep its all in the antenna, well most of it at least. The more expenisve CBs normally have more features than the cheap ones. Like weather channels, speaker, PA output, stuff like that

Whoops....I neglected to see the part about the PA speakers....

here's where i got mine located. You'll probably need to extend the wires like I did....only came with 9' of wire.

(passenger side behind grille, screwed to the rad support...)

It's all about your atenna like they said... min of 50ohms of resistance
