I picked up a vinyl floor from an Edge the other day. I've had vinyl and carpet in my old truck and currently have carpet but Idk if i should use the vinyl floor, although its useful.

Upsides of Vinyl:
Easier to clean/vacuum
No need for floor mats

Downfall of Vinyl:
Lets a little more heat from under the truck through
Lets a little more noise from the truck pass through (my exhaust is loud regardless)

I've never had vinyl, but I don't like carpet.
So I say keep the vinyl.

Is the temperature and noise difference really noticeable?

Had it in the Edge, got used to it so I bought Weathertech mats for the 150 before it hit 500 miles.

Another vote here for vinyl... I'd never want carpet in a truck.

Is your carpet beat? If so then try vinyl this time. It depends on how often you get your feet dirty before driving. You could run some fat mat under it if you have the cash and time to install it properly.

if your always muddy vinyl is great. it's nice to basically brush the dirt out and hit it with whatever cleaning product you have handy and a rag and it's clean. no floormats is nice too.

Keep the carpet, makes it a bit more luxurious. IMO.

I'm probably going to install the vinyl this week when the rain stops. My carpet is in nearly new condition and I already have "digital fit" floor mats that catch all the dirt. I think the upside of the vinyl for me is that its black and will go better with the leather which is also black.

the poll dominates lol

another vote for the vinyl, I was on the fence at first, but I would never want carpet in my truck again. just put in some Husky floor liners too, they slide around just a bit, but not nearly as bad as the floor mats I had, and keeps the floor much cleaner.
