Clanking in my door
There is a clanking inside my driver side door when swing it open and stuff. I tried getting to it, but the manual window crank was in the way, so I couldn't get it off. Does anyone know what that could be? Help me get the door panel off? Everythng works on my door still, it's just annoying. HELP!

need a screw driver flat blade style. Use it to pop the cap off the window crank handle then there is a torx screw behind there.
Then down on the far corner of the door there is a Phillips head screw there
Up on the arm rest in there are 2 more phillips screws there.
Once you have all screws out pull up on the panel.
It is easier to remove and replace with window down

does it sound like metal hiting metal or just a thump? Reason why I just had a thumping prob with mine. but it was in the back passenger side door, It was just the sound proofing pad. they didnt put enough glue on it and it came loose. that drove me crazy. Havent had a prod yet. Hopfully that helps.

THe hardest part of getting the door off is the window crank, but it's easy once you know how. Just very slightly pry around the base of it, and you'll see there are two pieces. Once the top piece is popped off, it rotates around the ****. If you search under the How-Tos for how to replace front speakers, there are some pretty good pictures.
You'll need a T-15 torx screwdriver to take the screw out.
Oh, and I find that an extra set of hands helps put it back on. And remember when you put the handle back on -- you'll probably want it pointing up when the window is all the way up. I replaced the speakers in my door.... and had the handle going a different direction, and it drove me crazy - every time I went around a corner or hit a bump I seemed to hit my leg on the window crank ****. But, YMMV.
