Seat options for my 2000 Ranger

My Ranger needs new seats. Every time I think I have come up with an affordable option it crashes and burns. I have a nice set of bucket seats out of a 96 Eddie Bauer F150 that I completely disassembled, cleaned, repaired and reassembled. I really want to use them because the match the interior perfectly, and I already have them. But the damn seat sliders are the issue. I have tried several different sliders from other Fords and nothing works with my floor board and those seats. I am just looking for some ideas here.

Have you tried making your seat tracks fit?

I have and it will require way too many mods. However, I will go ahead and get the torched and welder out if I have to.

Instead of cutting and pasting try a piece of steel bar the length needed.
Drill the hole for the Ranger Mounting to the floor and then drill some holes for the F-150 Tracks.
You may need to straighten the F-150 Track to make mounting easier but not sure.
the width of the bar or flat stock can be as wide as need to meet up with the F-150 mounting.

Just thinking aloud here, I do not know the F150 mounting so take what I say as talking over a problem.

I think I can visualize what you are saying. I did nto think about adding steel. I was too focussed on removing it.

By varying the width of the bar stock you can accommodate almost any seat.

Don’t forget the pictures when done or along the way…

Yesterday I went ahaead and tore the slider of the Ranger seats down. I did not realize all the brackets I thought I had to cut off were riveted on. I drilled out the rivets and was left with flat sliders. I just had to drill one hole on each slider and tap an existing hole on the seat frame. Now the fit and work great.

What is your budget? You dont have to break the bank to get your seats wrapped. Just show the seamstress the look you want. Your butt cheeks will be happy.
