removal of ext. cab door panels
Well, this afternoon will be my attempt at removing my extended cab rear panels to replace the speakers. It's a 4-door so hopefully that will make it a little easier. It should be somewhat interesting. We'll see how many clips I can snap.
Anyone have any advice before I start pulling it apart?

Those panels were obviously never meant to be removed....have fun. You just gotta unbolt the seat belt and rip it off. There's like twenty lil push pins in the door that slide onto the panel. Unfortunately all the slides are facing different directions. Don't be afraid of it, just tear it off. The pull all the push pins out the door, slip them on the panel, line up the holes and push it back into place, bolt up the seatbelt and you're all done...

i didn't break any pins and i took the one panel off twice in the same day. just gotta have something to help you pull the pins out(w/o mangling them) of the door when you're ready to re-install.
just be easy with it and you'll be fine...
what the hell did you do? lol, rage out on the thing or what??

Well I did it. I looked around through my grandpa's tools to see if he had anything I could use to pull the plastic pins out with. He was an appliance repair man so he has some pretty nifty tools. I found something I never saw before and it worked perfectly. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow...might be helpful for some of you. The panel popped right off...wasn't very hard at all. I started at the bottom and it seemed to pop off easier. I think there's 10 plastci pin things on each panel and I only broke 2. I'd say that's pretty decent for a first time attempt.
Everything went back together without a problem. Sounds great...no rattles.
"I DONE GOOD MA!! I DONE REAL GOOD!" lol
Thanks for all the help guys. I really appreciate it.

i know this is an old thread, but how do you remove the seatbelt buckle? or do you mean the seatbelt for the front seat?
