If they are similar to my 04 gauges, it will work, but only for the speedometer and tach. The ones for the gas and temp gauges are impossible to get to. The needles on the 04's are glued pretty much the entire length of the shaft, and after heating and prying, the needles still wouldn't pull off. You can get the speed and tach done because you can rotate the overlay and sand/paint a section at a time. I have some pics of the finished guages, but I don't have any for the process, sorry.

Good luck! Before you put them back in your truck...take them into a dark room like the bathroom or something, hold them up to a light and see if the paint has dried evenly.

I held them up to a light in a lit room and it looked fine, but once they were in my truck at night, I could see uneven spots.

thanks for the tip. I have a question by the way, is it possible to paint the green plastic thing IN the dials on the a/c guages?

yep, just turn em around, pop out the plastic piece with a small flat head, scrape off the white on the tips, and paint.

Might want to put the white back on over top of the paint to see it during the daytime

Ok so to do the dials im going to pop the green thingy out, sand the white tip, paint over the tip with the color of my choice, paint the tip over again with whtie paint (but optional)

i want blue dials but it wont work with the green will it. or will it have to be thick? I dont want to buy the blue ones from a j/y.

What your gonna do it sand or scrape off the white AND the green. Then it'll just be a white piece of plastic. Then paint blue. Then optional translucent white again
