painted interior!

finally got around to painting some pieces on the door panels. nothing special but it looks REALLY good. i need your opinions on something though. on the exterior i got the black and yellow only theme going. and now that i have yellow inside, why not keep it going? the reason i say this is because i have all they grey inside, no likey. what if i painted ALL the reast of the grey, BLACK?!?!?! im talking the whole dash and pillars and what not. then yellow would be those dash pieces, the window vents, and radio bezel. how does that sound? anyone have pics of painted interiors? im just brainstorming here. but i can bring the yellow inside and not finish it, you know?

Looks good! Yellow Rangers always remind me of Baywatch lol There are some threads regarding painting the interior panels and dash, it'll give you an idea of what kind of paint to use and general tips.

I agree, then if you ever decide you want the shiny look in the future then you can just apply armorall. Also you wont have a horrible glare all of the time coming off of your dash.

I've never seen it come out too good when someone does the entire interior. Zabeard's is the best I've seen.

I like it. Personally I would just leave the interior grey and continue on with the yellow accents. Then after all the trim pieces are color matched, then decide if a low gloss/flat black is needed for the rest. Just my 2 pennies worth tho

Here is mine I recently painted it black also dyed the headliner.

Headliner looks like crap in pictures due to the flash.

I don't like the interiors after they have been painted, Just doesn't look as good as the factory coloring.

Looks good. If you wanna paint more I would paint the radio bezel and maybe the dash vents. Maybe the trim around the gauges.

seeing your door panels makes me glad both of my trucks had the xlt door panels with map pockets compared to the xl/cheap edge door panels just ugly in my opinion.

That looks fantastic!!

yellow_edge, take a note from this guy. This is how to do it tastefully withou tbeing overkill or tacky. Whatever he's done red,you should do in yellow. His dash looks great too.

I wouldn't advise painting your dash black though. I would actually leave the grey, but paint your trim pieces yellow black, so you have grey/yellow/black.

Too much black and yellow will just throw off the entire look and make it look more tacky than anything. Keep it tasteful and just do accents,if you want my honest opinion.

to bad everyone else on here think sit looks stupid.

it really isn't that shiny the camera flash makes it look that way

Thanks to those who said it looks good.

Doing it right cost money doing it cheap well you can guess the results.

I personally think everything flows better with the black and red.

Yellow and Black would be awesome, but you need enough yellow to break up the black.

50/50 mix of the two colors

YOU COPIED ME PHIL!!!!!!! HAHA
nah man i love it ....i painted my radio bezel and the same piece on the door with the same paint lol i wish my interior was black too ive thought about painting it a million times but im afraid of it looking like crap and the paint wearing off real easy.im calling every junkyard around here to find a ranger with stock black interior. that would be the best way to do it. but i dont think i will have much luck at all.

looks good man but please dont paint anything else red. i think some people just over do it. a lil bit of color looks good but when they paint every lil thing its just too much...thats my 2 cents lol

tearloch's looks as good as STL's. Both did excellent jobs and are very tasteful.

Good job guys. My interior is staying stock. It's more of a work truck.
