i think im just going to try to paint the main part of my dash still in the truck, just take off and cover whatever i can, its the only thing i have left to paint too. actually that and the rear door panels

i dont know how you removed the bulbs from the ohc. when I did it the hole thing crumbled. well the copper stuff that the bulb sits on top of. why dont you go to the yard and get another dash and paint it; or you look in the for sale thread :) free dash.
