Hello, how hard would it be to paint the interior of my 94 ranger? Like my door panels, dash, etc. What procedure do i use and what paint?

 

Personally I think paint would leave a weird feeling. Especially when you leave your arm on the door panel for a while. The door panels would super easy to paint especially if you have manual everything. The dash I'm not exactly sure how you could do that without having to take it out. I think It would look better to just buy new panels and dash.

 

I did my whole interior with SEM paint. Be sure to prep properly with liquid sandpaper and wax and grease remover. I did my dash in the truck and newspapers the windshield.

 

Can you post a picture? I just want to see how it looks

I would think that painted interior panels, if scratched, would leave the prior color to show. Isn't this the case?

 

On occasion, yes. I have never had an issue with my dash, but the door panels and bottom rails do get scuffed up. Krylon would probably be better, but SEM does touch ups wonderfully and has a factory finish when dry. Justin did his krylon and I don't think he has had a complaint. My fiancé is hell on my passenger door panel since for some reason, she feels the need to rest her feet on t. So about once a month I take 5 minutes to touch up all the spots.

Oh, my. That is SWEEEEET! Favorite part is that headliner. Suede? I'm jealous now.

EDIT: Just noticed the LEDs on the rear glass. Love it. All of my yes.

 

Headliner is actually the factory one painted with duplicator fabric paint.

 

Mine is very similar to Jacob's except for a few things I painted red. I used Krylon Fusion paint instead of SEM. I also laid a couple of coats of primer down before paint; it's much better than the primer-paint mix junk. For the dash, I just made sure to cover the windshield really well since I already had literally everything else out of the cab. It's holding up really well so far.

And my headliner is suede.

 

Krylon fusion is some good stuff. I used that on my front valance and my rear step pad.

 

SEM has good paint supplies/products for the interior. Just remember to prep well every piece you're going to paint.
