Slap the cubby hole downward, this will unsnap the plastic cubby and switch cover. There's a total of 4 screws that take a 7mm then everything just drops right out. two phillips holds the switch to the bracket.
Hello,
My apologies in advance. I know your post is asking how to remove this passenger airbag switch.
I'm looking to install one.
I just can't seem to find any information out there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to install the switch and I would also need to purchase the control module pictured above.
Need more info to help you. What's the situation you're dealing with that you need to install the purchase & install the control module & switch. Those parts don't fail very often and usually any model that has airbags, that's not usually a part that is removed. The switch is pretty easy to wire up, but I've read that the control module requires a very specific and delicate install and calibration. Not sure how true that is. A google search for "1997 Ford Ranger Airbag Control Module" turns up plenty of results on Ebay. You can also try car-part.com, I've had a lot of luck finding odd parts there. Can't find much in terms of a wiring diagram. Do you have any wiring for the control module in place? If not, it's going to be a real PITA.
