wet wind shield on the inside?

wet wind shield on the inside?
During the cooler weather, especially winter during damp nights, my wind shield will be soaked on the inside the next morning. Some nights, if it gets cold enough, it will be iced over on the inside. The windows are up and no water containers are inside the vehicle. The carpet is not wet and there does not appear to be anything leaking to the inside. Has anyone else experienced this, and has a conclusion or fix/cause been found. I have a 1998 ext cab ranger with a 4.0 (the sensor headache model). Thanks for any clues or answers to this issue in advance.

Check and ensure the evaporator condensate drain hose is not obstructed. Click Link and reference second Pic

Thanks Rev, the 2nd photo in the link you supplied me verified what I thought that tube was for. Last year i had an issue with a chipmunk storing acorns under my hood. He literally filled the hood with them and when he went for a meal he would leave the empty hulls on the intake. I noticed them while doing my usual oil dip stick check. I believe the rascal popped some into this drain tube causing the condensation to start. Wont know if its the fix until i go through the upcoming winter. Thanks again for the help guys.

were dry, but padding underneath was wet caused by the all to common cowl blockage that
happens to a lot of these vehicles.

If you still believe you cannot find a mechanical problem, one solution I have found is to put a damp rid in your vehicle. It works great! I live in a humid climate and when the cooler weather hits, the water condensates on the inside of all the windows, not just the windshield. I bought mine online but forgot which website. They were originally made for closets.

Water leaks into Cab
I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT and it has been getting wet inside and I would like to get this fixed, but have NO idea of where the water is coming in at.
If I put Floor Mats down and pick them up it will be wet under them and if I leave them out it will dry up, But it same as if it rains or is damp out they will get wet also the carpet.
I also noticed that at time there is allot of moisture in the inside on the windshield, have NO idea where that is coming from?
Also I have noticed that behind the seat on both side it gets wet and I have that window that you can open in the middle, would it be coming from there?
If anyone can help me to identify where my problems maybe laying I would be very thankful for your help.
Also what would cause the doors to freeze and you have to pull as hard to get them open in the Winter time, are the seals bad on the doors?

like you. I found plugged drains in the gutter system under the cowling. I got the driver side unplugged by removal ( under the hood on firewall) of the access door. The passenger side does not have any way that I know of to open up and get in there to clean. So, in order to totally stop the wet cab problem I simply blocked off the grilles (from the top)by the windshield wipers. I cut out two pieces of thick rubber and just placed them over the grilles. Apply in wet weather, remove when the sun shines. With a slight dab of adhesive they even stay in place at highway speeds. A 100% fix for a dry cab for me.
The rear windows usually leak due to a bad window seal or third brake light gasket gone bad. I've read/ seen how the window seal can be replaced and it looks doable; I am going
to replace mine in the spring but in the meantime I use a large beach towel draped accross
the bottom of the back window to catch the water and keep it off the rugs.
Once you lift up the rugs and dry out all that padding the moisture laden air in the cab will
be gone and I am guessing the door seals won't be frozen anymore.
Hope this helps.
