Post Your Ingenious Rattle Fixes!!!

okay i probably have like 20 rags stuffed into random places to fix rattles. there are still alot that need to be fixed though. I know for sure that back panel is one of the main ones, id like to tackle that tonight. But post up what you have done to fix rattles here and there, i may or may not have those rattles, but better off fixn it than not. Oh and i also know my bezel does, its a weird noise, not so much a rattle but like a squeak kinda where it pops in. havnt figured out anyhting for that yet.

thats why i am posting this for, my subs. Sometimes its only certian notes that hit really bad rattles, but if there a way to fix a few of them, it will better the sound.

Just make sure not to use EXPANDING foam. Otherwise your Ranger will end up looking like a VW Beetle.

I don't know that regular foam would even do much. Whatever material needs to be rather dense to even be effective at sound deadening. If it's just for a rattle, anything soft would work.

Using absorbing materials like Dynamat help seal your interior from sound escaping. They also insulate the interior from rattles because it is absorbing the sound waves.

Hot Wheel package cardboard/thick paper folded a few times and jammed in between the slider window and the frame....because of this: ....

A subwoofer hides all rattles and shaking parts!!

I don't have any rattles...

Well two but they are my fault and I have to fix them, I dropped a pair or tweezers where the hole in the dash for the VIN number is and they rattle once in a while but I can't figure out how to get to them? And the other is my back drivers side door rattles from the Basslink sometimes because it needs new push clip things from some idiot who didn't line them all up before pushing and bent half of them, so they have to be replaced.

dynamat the whole thing, 99% of the rattles gone.

i tried to stop my gas pedal from rattling once. ended up breaking the gas pedal off. LOL

I wrap metal to metal contact parts with electrical tape in the interior that stops rattles

My slider stopped rattling all of a sudden as well. I used to put electrical tape on the latch to keep it from rattling

I have stock speakers so no rattles here, still wouldn't mind Dynamat'ing the entire truck. The wind noise is too noticeable at highway speeds.

I got more of a creak in each door. I think it's those latches that hold the door locks in but not 100% sure. There's some of that rubber coating rubbed off where it makes contact with the door. I got some foam insulation tape for water piping I might use to try to cure it.
