Power Cloth Explorer Seats?
Power Cloth Explorer Seats?
Okay, I'll admit it: I'm big. I stand 5'10" and weigh 460+/-lbs. This makes entry and fitment on the driver's side of my '99 B2500 a sight to see... but I manage it!
Still, I'd like it to be easier... and I recall how driving a '05 Ford Five Hundred much easier it is if you can get the seat to be lower. So knowing what I've learned here thus-far, I'm intent on installing a pair of Explorer seats. I have just one caveat: I don't want leather. It just makes an already small "solar oven" more of a pain to drive, and I don't need worries over material damage.
So... before I hit the 'yards and what-not, someone tell me: Did option for cloth-covered power seats exist for the '96-'01 Explorer? Knowing this first will save me time, and thank-you.

So they didn't make any with power adjust-ability covered in cloth, or they'll sit just as high when just bolted-in & set as low as possible?
Pretty much all Explorer seats I have come across were leather, they also don't have tilt forward to access behind the seat, and if you have a regular cab they have a higher thicker back so can't go as far back as your current seats
Why not see if you can lower your current seats
