A few pics (not 56k friendly)

I finally got around to taking a few pics today... here's some interior shots. Check out the exterior forum for more.

The voltmeter & switches.
I decided to add 2 more switches to the right side of the meter rather than cut up the radio bezel.

Another shot with flash (and dirt):

The first switch (left side) isn't connected to anything, but I wanted symmetry.
The 2nd switch controls the voltmeter, even if the truck is off.
The 3rd switch controls my backup lights. Only active when the truck is ON or Running.
The 4th switch controls my mini fog lights (although I may change the wiring with my OEM location fogs).

I'm considering adding some small labels below the switches, but I sort of like the "what the hell are those switches for" look I get sometimes.

Taken when truck turned off, normally the meter reads 14.5v.

I found a sheet of textured ABS laying in the back of my tool chest & it made a great panel to fill in that dinky little "storage" place above the stereo.

I used some 3M double sided foam tape all around the back to hold things in place. Right as I was pressing the panel in place, I thought about running wires from the extra switch.

A shot of the dome light with two 906 9 LED's & one 6 LED festoon bulb.

VERY bright white light.

I modified the socket/bracket in the glove box to accept a 906 9 LED bulb as well.
No pics yet, due to dead batteries in the cam.

More pics to come.... maybe even some of my console...

That is a pretty cool location for the voltmeter what wires did u splice into for it? I have one and want to hook it up just not sure what wires to go into to get a good reading.

I believe I used the +12v from the OEM cigarette lighter for the meter. If not, I used the 10ga wire running directly to the battery. I have a few small other things connected to the 10ga wire & it has a 10A fuse at the battery.
Probably didn't need one, but I added a 1A fuse in the cab too.
The meter requires +5v for operation (used a 7805 voltage regulator) that gets power from the same 1A fused location.
I ran both grounds together & connected them to a barrier strip that grounds all my other small stuff.

They're even brighter at night. These pics were taken in the garage with a ton of fluorescent overhead lights.
Not bad for a set of $5 906 LED's & a $4 festoon LED.
