quick seat question

i have a 01 stand. cab with the 60/40, will bucket seats out of a 96 explorer work without modding too much?

need to know pretty quick, i have a line up on a pair of perfect buckets, and would like to know if they will go in with little, to no modding required

thanks in advance

I don't have the answer myself, but I'm kind of curious, too. I want to get rid of the split bench. I'd rather get 2 matching seats so it will look better. I've put a lot of miles on mine(65,000) and my drivers seat feels the way a couch cushion does when it is worn out, like I'm sitting in a hole.

I think you'll need to make brackets for the buckets for the seats to work. My lil brother has a reg cab. The reg cab has different mounting brackets than the ex cabs. He knows the answer for sure....he want to do this mod, but probably not, he's 6'2", not enough leg room w/ exploder seats. I'll ask him.

ok....

From my brother:

"No Exploder seats fit in reg cabs. Standard cab seat into standard only. Exploder seats & Std cab Ranger seats have different tracks. They won't fit. Ex cab tracks and Exploder tracks are the same. Get buckets from a reg cab....they bolt right in. Add a Explorer center console and OHC...it'll look good."

You might be able to swap out your ranger seat tracks with your new seats, in my old ranger i did that to fit mustang buckets in it

most al ford seats match with other ford seats

u could put stang seats in

u could put xploder seats in

u could maybe put navigator seats in...i dunno

the brackets will be the same

check RPS for more info
