Ive always wanted the explorer console but this is way better where can I get one preferably with the pioneer sound system? Also does anyone know where I can get the seats out of a newer ranger I saw some black ones with red inserts that I wanted

 

well my edge didn't come with it, and its a 04...soo maybe it depends on you order it or whatever they have on the lot...

 

The black with red inserts are from the FX4 Level IIs

I got one from a member here who got it from a junkyard.

If you wnet into ford and told them you wanted to order a truck you would have had the option to include it

Of course you have to get the leather trimmed seats. Only the FX4 and Fx4 Level II's came with the two tone seats though

Which it says it's a $450 dollar option. I dont think you could walk into ford and buy all the parts with the sub and amp for that price.

 

umm no, from the dealer the console is 700$ not including the radio or sub IIRC

 

I think it was actually more than that. I think just one part was 700.

 

The one ford parts I goto only list the short FX4 console and it is $106.oo dollars just forthe shell no cup holders no lid no armrest etc.

The Ranger full length console is basically a glorified ranger shorty? ALOT of those components are just like the ranger shorts....but with a bunch of junk added to tit.

Im gonna say they are the same. This console in a reg cab would go flush up against the back wall

In the super cab it stops right at the back of the seats

A little side note:

If your truck didnt come with this console the install is very easy.

When you cut a hole in the carpet/vinyl floor there is a hump, and in each corner of the hump are spots where the hole for the bracket should have been bolted down.

Another thing also I dont know if self tapping screws would work the best. I used the actual bolts that holds the bracket down. When you put the nut on you can either do it from under the truck which is hard cause the drive shaft is in the way or put the nut on the inside.

The console that you are installing is different than mine. I had an 07 xlt built with the pioneer sound system. The center console as you guys figured out came with that package. But what I was going to say is that one is different, the cup holders are shaped different and there is a on off switch for the passenger air bag. Mine doesnt have that, it has some sensor in the seat and turns itself off when there is less than some odd pounds on it.

And if it didn't have them go to the dealer and get the rubber inserts for the cup holders otherwise drinks will drive you nuts with the noise.

 

Self tapping screws work great, just make sure they're long enough. I used like 1 inchers on mine and that sucker ain't going anywhere.
