Broken Dash

Hey guys, my truck was recently broken into, and they broke the dash, it fits back on, but it is all loose. I dont know if I could fix that, or if I can just get a new dash and install it, any suggestions? and which dashes would fit without too much modification.

well if you drive a taco, you are asking the wrong people. If you eat a lot of taco's ...then that is funny, and I still don't know what year your truck is so I have no basis to start off.

according to his profile he has a 94 ranger... i would try and get a used one from a junkyard... should be cheap for a older truck like yours... any dash from 89 through 95 should be the same

I looked but i missed that part. my bad. So he must eat a lot of taco's lol

Any dash from a 89-94 Ranger or Explorer should swap directly.

I believe 95 was the year that they switched to the new ( current ) dash. I may be wrong. Also these dashes will swap into the older trucks but with some wiring differences ( read: headaches)

Does anyone have a how to in order to take off the dash, or give me a list or something like that, I think just replacing the whole thing is the way to go. I need some pics or something. Oh yeah, it is a 94 Ranger. Oh yeah, I forgot, yes I do eat a lot of Tacos. lol

i would get a haynes or chiltons book from the auto parts store those have pretty good directions for removing the dash

Mine hasn't been broken into but when I go to put it back on I take a thin screwdriver/pliers and pulls the tabs out on the clip to make it fit tighter . . . something to try.
