F-150 Guage pod

Has anyone ever tried to use a steering column guage pod from an F-150. I need a place to put my air guage, but dont really want to use a A piller pod.
I was just wondering if anyone's done it, and if so, how much do you have to do to make it fit right?

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about.

yes I used to have one when I had an automatic transmission in my truck......it just takes a little trimming on the back part.....other than that it is easy......and it is in a great spot for a gauge......

Do you have any pics of it, I'd kinda like to see how well it fits, and if it blocks the other guages at all

I think I remember reading somewhere that you can use one from a Mustang, but I'm not real sure on that.

Heres a pic of mine had it for about two years now and I love it. The only thing it blocks is the left turn signal light and the highbeam light on the dash. I personally didnt have to trim anything to get it to fit it just slid right into place.

That looks great, I think mine will block the bottom few number on my tach.

And, a Question, I was looking at it today, and exactly how to you get the stock one off to put that one on? I don't see any screws, so I'm assuming that all that holds it is clips.

I didnt take the stock one off I just slid this one right on top of it. I drilled 4 holes to insert the plastic pin clips into and I was done. Took me maybe 5 minutes to install.

Gauge installed and wired, I put a red LED next to the gauge so I know when the Efan is on. Not sure if this was the greatest idea I have ever had because its pretty bright, good thing the fan doesnt run very much.

LED on
