Converting Manual locks, mirrors, and windows to power
Yea I have a 03 flareside xlt and I know it would be a pretty big process to convert all the manual mirrors, windows, and locks to be power. I also realize that it would take new door panels and the motors for all the powered mirrors and stuff. But for the money it would cost do you guys think it would be worth it?

I am doing this myself. For the windows, I used the A1 Electric kit, as well as for the doors. www.a1electric.com . For the mirrors, I am going to buy a set of Cal-Vue mirrors, they have a manel to power converstion kit, and I will hook a set off stock mirrors to it. I still need to get the door panels and switchs and stuff, but the rest should be pretty easy.

i installed power door lock buttons on my 04 and its clean, i think i actually like it better than the stock w/ power door locks because its a cleaner door with only one button on it. I really dont intend to do power windows, sometimes i want to other times i dont. i found some awesome red billet window cranks that i wana get so who knows i might decide to add the power windows.
but ya back to the post, its not hard, easy as dremeling a little hole, putting in the little bezel and doorlock button and hooking up a couple wires. someone could prolly do it for you if you buy the parts on your own for like 40-80 bucks.
i already had an alarm and keyless entry so i only payed to have the switch wired and installed. next power item i want is a sunroof. san diego is too beautiful to not have one or a convertible.

I had the old XL type door panels, manul everything, so no map pockets. None of the wiring was there, but it wasn't that hard to do. Installing th windows and the locks was about 5 hours, and that was running all the wires and what not. Still need to do the mirrors though, as well as buy the door panels, switch bezel, and the switchs.

I had a stock 98 XLT Reg. Cab that I installed SPAL power windows, and Autoloc Power locks / Remote entry, with a Stellar (Autoloc Company) Remote start. I am definately an Autoloc Fan, I would have purchased their windows if I had done more research, I think. Everything was pretty easy to install, about 1 day or so (maybe 7-9 hours) but I was doing some different things as well, (powerwashing the carpet, painting the interior pieces, etc) and it was my first time really playing with the truck's electronics.
It was definately worth doing it myself, though, because I could add features that I liked, ie installing the windows with a constant 12v, so I could put the windows up/down with out having to start the truck. After all, how many times do you turn off your car and forget to roll up the windows, just to have to put the key back in to put them up.
I also ran the switches under the carpet and through the armrest, so the switches were mounted on the front of the armrest, at my fingertips. Pics can be seen here
The pics don't show it, but before I sold it, I inserted the black plastic cap over the hole where the window crank used to be and painted it white to match the interior.
If I can be of any help, let me know. Go autoloc, and look on eBay for a dealer.

All you guys that put in power locks. Can anyone help me out with how to get the factory actuators out. Mine are shot and I have new ones but I can't get the old ones out. If someones wants to shoot me a message on aim or yahoo that would be cool as not to clutter this thread. Thanks
