Sorry for having to ask this - I'm kind of getting conflicting information from the other posts I've found.

I've got a 2002 XLT and I'm doing an LED swap in the gauges (and hopefully HVAC and headlight switch). I'm hoping I can find out what bulbs go in so that I can order them without having to take the dash apart twice. I'll be using ribbon LEDs for the main lighting, but it seems some sources say the warning lights take T5 while others say 194, and I think one post said that they were mixed bag (6 of one and 4 of the other).

And while we're at it, what do the HVAC and light switch take? Seems HVAC is 2x 161 but apparently 194 will work? Can find anything saying what the light switch takes.

My Hvac took two T-10's (194)
I don't know what the warning lights were. but the rest of the cluster (main lights) are 6 T-10's in holders

 

That confirms it enough for me. Got them ordered. I'll probably have to open it up myself for the other bulbs.

Do we not have a Ranger wiki? Have one for my motorcycle forums, and it's so nice having everything organized like that.

 

We don't but we have a pretty good how-to section. I just don't think anyone has done one for changing over to LED's
