Interior Restoration/Remodel

Hey all,

New here but I've been lurking for a long time. I've got an 05 Ranger 4x4, with a 100k miles on it. Mechanically, it's great. But the interior is pretty beat to hell and it's wearing on me. I was recently playing with the idea of buying a new truck. I decided that was a bad idea, and I want to run this thing into the ground. Instead of dumping a bunch of money into a new truck, I'm going to dump a couple thousand into this thing and make it much more pleasant to drive.

Some things I will definitely be doing:
- Ripping out the carpet and putting in vinyl flooring. (carpet is terrible with a dog)
- Sound deadening and blocking (done properly) on door panels, floor, firewall, etc.
- Thread on steering wheel cover (These things are great).
- New headliner
- Adding a mustang dome light (already have one)

With that said, I'm looking for advice on a few things:
1. Seats. This is the big one. I've read and read on the forums, and everyone does seat swaps from other vehicles. I've decided I don't want to go this route. I've been to the pick and pull a couple times looking and the only seats I find are garbage. Anything purchased via ebay is too expensive for what they are. My seats are broken and beat, and I have no interest in reupholstering them or covering them. I've got the 60/40 set up and the middle seat is useless. What I would really like to do is remove it entirely, and put in some nice aftermarket bucket seats. So my question is, are there any aftermarket bucket seats (brand new), that bolt in? I can't seem to find any. If not, what kind of fitting and work is it going to take to retrofit some? My second question is - what should I do about a center console? I'm half tempted to bolt in a large painted ammo can (or safe maybe?), remove the handle from the lid and pad and upholster it, and bolt some cupholders onto the front lol.
2. The rear. I've got the two door extended cab with the storage compartments in the side. Thinking of mixing things up back here. With no center seat (and maybe no center console?), I could put a jump seat in the middle of the back wall and you would have plenty of leg room. Is this at all possible? Also, something I'm kind of toying with is replacing all the back plastic and putting in wood paneling and building sub/storage boxes into the sides. I'm a wood worker (and not much of a mechanic, and not at all a fabricator), so I feel like I could get that done. Anyone seen anything like that? Terrible idea?
