adding a tach cluster to a ranger that didnt have one?

my '99 ranger xlt did not come with a tachometer in the instrument cluster.

i found a '99 ranger in a junkyard that has a cluster w/ a tach in it. is this a bolt in swap and will everything work?

thanks
chris

White: 2001~2003 Sport Trac, 2003 or earlier Ranger Tremor.
Silver: 2003 Ranger XLT

All of the above will drop in and the 6 gauges will work in a 99 Ranger. Some indicator lights could be mislabled, Theft light won't work.

White and silver clusters are made in 2WD and 4WD versions.

will this work for the 95 model xlt...because i dont have a tach either and it really annoying not having a tach when driving stick. i get the job done but itll be a sweet mod, exspecially if i can get a white faced one from a sport track of something. not necessary but would be cool!

I have a '95 XL, so I am also wondering if it will work...
