New to the Ranger game but when I was lucky enough pick up this beauty for $20 I was all over it. After installing new brake all the way around with some new lines she was ready for the road. So let me first say I was spoiled all my life driving an Impala and a Camry. Silverado and even an S10. I never once thought about the little things. The comfort. And although this truck is running like a deer from a hunter who just missed his shot I have to say I'm disappointed with the comfort level this bench has. I have no where to rest my elbow. I feel like Will Farrell in Talladega Nights when he doesn't know what to do with his hands. Maybe if it was a stick I wouldn't be here today asking anyone this. I've seen a few forums about seats but I don;t know if I didn't understand them because the they weren't directed towards me or if it's because the years were slightly different. To end this rant with my question, Does anyone know how I can get bucket seats into this bad boy with a center console or at least some cupholders? Someone said Explorer, but what years? Someone said it needs a different rail but from where? If you wanted to replace the bench in your 1997 Ford Ranger Standard Cab XL how would you do it and with what?
