in camera truck mount
after watching the video made by 4X2XLT (jeff) and talking to him via PM, i decided to find a way to mount my video camera in my truck. Jeff gave me a starting point to go from. Basically where i mounted this is where some trucks have there passenger airbag. I dont have one behind the panel. I took it off and went to work, with the help of my bro and Dad. well enough talking on to the pics

yea it is kind of permanent, but i plan on keeping the truck. the camera comes off the pole, i just wanted to be able to record while im driving, if i dont have a passenger with me. basically i just wanted a way to record hands free while driving. i realize there a hole in my panel, i can live with that. the mount itself is not permanent, its held in by two bolts. if i do take it out, ill be left with a hole. im not to worried about it

Nice mounting system nonetheless.

looks pretty cool.... i wouldn't ride passenger with that thing like that until you remove it though, lol... nothing like having a pole sitting in front of you ready to impale you, lol.
i wanted to build one that basically mounted all the way in the back along the back window so you could see the steering wheel, as well as out the windshield.
