mounted the cobra 29ltd classic CB
i mounted the CB today, its a cobra 29ltd classic with the side mic. it has been peeked and tuned with a 25 watt swing mod (1 watt dead key, 25 watt swing)
i mounted it under the radio bezel in front of the air bag switch/ashtray on top of the center tray using 2 brackets i made at work from 1/8 mild steel
I mounted the antenna bracket in the front driver side of the bed the other day. And I ran the coax between the bed and the cab, under the cab and up through the drain plug. down the driver side under the trim, across the front under the vinyl to the center tray to the CB
i have to stop and pick up the 4' Wilson fiberglass whip, they didn't have anymore black so they ordered me one and a longer power cord, ill pick it up this Wednesday and should be on the air by Wednesday night.

Yeah actually it is. I'm gonna put the other two bolts in and a backing plate when I take the bed off to do the body lift this fall. You think it will hold till then?

Hmm not sure where you got that, I've ran dual antennas back there for probably almost 4 years, even broke a 4 foot whip off a tree branch, never had a problem with spot welds failing.
