the windows on the chevy dont go right into the track theres a frame round the side windows and all you have to do is cut along that makes tintin pretty easy.

I did a How-To on how to remove your windows from your doors to tint them, after the windows were out, made it 10x's easier to tint.
I tried one before removing and it didnt go so well.

I just have my tinting done by a professional. Its not worth the hassle to try to do it yourself.

Those who do a good job doing it yourself... hats off to you.

That really sucks. I personally dont agree with it. Although there is a limit on how dark you should go.

If you do get tint make sure to ask for the nice kind not the cheap kind. I heard 3M makes a good tint film. Also check on the warranty the shop will give you. We have a lot of really nice places around here, I might be going to get mine done this next week after I get paid.

35 is the darkest you can have on the sides legally and the back window can be spray painted black if you feel like it. but i wish 20 was legal cause thats bout dark as i can go and drive comfortably at night.

Yeah same here, I want to get 20 to match the stock tint on the rear windows but I'm just gonna go with 35 so I don't have to mess with inspection crap.

Lucky! Can't legally go darker than 50% here.

the only reason tint turns purple isnt because its the "cheap kind" ... its because window cleaner with ammonia was used on it.

As far as bubbling goes, that all has to do with application

anyways, in my 96 acura integra in california i went 2 1/2 yrs before getting rolled for my front windows (cant have anything on the front) ... i had 20% sunstrip, 20% fronts, and 5% rears.

what amazed me is i used to live in napa and NEVER got messed with out there and i get rolled up here in chico not only for the tint, but no front plate and modified smog equip (intake with no carb #)

you might wonder what a honda guy is doing on a ranger forum ... in the process of selling the integra and getting a ranger / b2300

I am not a good tinter. I tinted my 69 F100 twice. Eventually, both times started to peal up. I said F**K IT! One day I went out there and just ripped it off and through it away.
