Triple Gauge Pod Mod

I was searching the site for info on Triple Pillae Gauge Pods and came accross this Method. (I bookmarked it for future reference)

http://stlouismtb.tripod.com/guagesautometer.html

It looks time consuming but no other choice I guess.

Anyone else do the triple gauge pillar mod ?

That doesn't look too bad... I had one in my Mustang but never put one in any of my Rangers.

I have one in my car, but I need it for tuning. All of the senders are also pinned to a serial port so I can log via laptop.

I don't see why you would need gauge pods in a ranger. Stock cluster is what ford put in it so why do u need more things

Unless it's a newer one that only has fuel and temp. It'd be nice to have oil pressure and voltage!

Personally I would rather have one that can see Monitor many different things. Pedro use to have one in a gauge pod. I forget the name

Air gauges work great in pods.

The reason I bought a column gauge pod is so when I swap motors I'll have an extra spot for another gauge. I'll have to fab a whole new cluster anyway

The temp and oil pressure are only mechanical idiot lights.

So separate aftermarket gauge would be good just to get a picture of what the 5.0L is doing.

Individual gauge pods

I think the custom tripod looks great. Unfortunately, my '06 has a "oh crap" handle on the driver side pillar that won't allow that design to work. I found these individual pods at summit racing. Part # ProParts 81107. I'm not sure how well they would work on the pillar since they look like they're designed to mount to a flat surface.

I have seen a Ranger with two of these mounted on the windshield pillar.
They look OK, I think the molded in pods just look right, maybe have to settle for two on the pillar and be happy with it.
There is always above the Radio on the dash to mount some more.

AMAZING job! im so ready to do this to my truck. I need a digital temp gauge, would love a trans temp gauge, and a digital volt meter to watch charging

Was just rereading about your project.
It looks really good.
How did it hold up ?

Another thing to add to the To-Do list.
